My client has a vacancy for an electrically-based / Multi-skilled Building Maintenance Professional.
Based in a corporate data centre, based at Slough or Uxbridge, where you will be rewarded ££ for your skills and experience.
You will be required to deal directly with the Client, and be part of a team of engineers completing PPM / reactive maintenance including electrical and HVAC services, lighting & power, switchgear, small installs, 3 phase motors, alarm tests, planned shutdowns, AHU & FCU maintenance.
4 on / 4 off shift pattern.

This will involve the recruitment of three experienced Chiller engineers looking at the planned maintenance for the new specialist Air Conditioning division for a diverse and expanding section of an already well-established portfolio of clients.
The successful candidate must have previous hands on experience of carrying out the planned and reactive maintenance to large commercial and industrial chillers from all manufacturers, including compressor repairs to reciprocating, screw and rotary types and mechanical strip-down. Engineers must also have an extensive working knowledge of the full spectrum of systems concentrating on the chiller, larger end of the market, there will also be involvement in some small end of the market.
This role involves the preventative maintenance and service to Chillers on a mobile basis. This is the way of the future where large maintenance service providers will no longer outsource the Chiller maintenance but have their own teams. This view has also extended to the service of Burners and boilers and this company are also setting up a team to deal with this section.

Review all safe systems of work, method statements and risk assessments produced by both in house resource and third parties working within the locations.
Ensure that the correct type of PTW is issued for the work and that all the necessary supporting documentation have been completed and correctly approved and are available.
Control the issuing of permits and ensure that those carrying out the work understand any safety requirements for the work to be carried out safely.
Ensure that all permits are closed out in accordance with the current PTW procedures.
Check that all permits and other relevant documentation have been fully completed (including clearance and cancellation).
Ensure that all permits are only issued by those authorised to do so (AP / IA / RP)
Make available copies of supporting documentation (written safe systems of work, Isolation Certificates, etc) when required for audits, H&S inspection and other times when authorised by Johnson Controls.
Confirm that written safe systems have been checked against appropriate checklist and that the responsible person has approved them.
Review certificates still in operation and confirm that they are visible and being complied with.
Ensure that all Permits to Work and Isolation Certificates are being issued to control hazardous work as per the requirements of the current PTW procedures.
